A gorgeous, matching pair of vintage mid-to-late 20th-century Chinese cloisonné enamel display vases, finished in a rich cobalt royal blue and complete with their custom carved wooden stands.

Crafted using traditional artisan techniques, each baluster-form vase is built on a heavy brass/copper base. The exterior features an exceptionally vibrant floral motif centered around large, blooming golden-yellow and white peony flowers with detailed jade-green foliage. The colorful flora is set against a deep cobalt blue background completely filled with intricate hand-formed wire cloud patterns (scrollwork).

The upper rim features a classic ruyi-style border pattern. The interior necks and under-bases are finished in a traditional polished turquoise-blue enamel coating, while the rims display exposed polished brass framing.
