Celebrate the legacy of Bavarian royalty with this elegant vintage Bavaria porcelain collector's plate. Issued for the holiday season of 1989, this limited-edition Christmas plate ("Weihnachten 1989") features an incredibly detailed illustration of one of Germany's most famous royal estates.

The front of the plate showcases the beautiful Schloss Linderhof, situated in southwest Bavaria near Ettal Abbey. As noted on the back inscription, it was the absolute favorite palace of the fairytale King, King Ludwig II of Bavaria, depicted here nestled amidst a charming, snow-covered landscape under a brilliant night sky. The scene is brought to life using a premium "Echt Kobalt" (True Cobalt) glaze, giving it a deep, highly reflective blue monochrome look that remains safe from fading.

The back features the signature blue Bavaria Porzellan crest, alongside elegant script describing the landmark and designating this piece as part of a "Begrenzte Auflage" (Limited Edition). Crafted from high-grade German hard-paste porcelain, this plate makes an extraordinary addition to holiday collections, gallery walls, or any home showcasing historic European architecture.
