Produced during the late 20th-century export boom (circa 1970s–1980s), this piece features a brilliant stylistic fusion, beautifully imitating traditional Japanese Satsuma moriage ware.
The vase is crafted with a cream-colored crackle-glaze body, serves as the canvas for two large, elaborately framed cartouches. Each panel showcases blooming pink and rust-red peonies—traditional symbols of prosperity, honor, and wealth—rendered with raised enamel details and vibrant gold-colored highlighting.
The top and bottom shoulders are bordered by alternating dark red and black geometric panels filled with gilded medallions and scrolling flourishes.
The base bears the authentic vintage "Made in China" red triangle stamp with the stylized teacup logo, marking its place in late-century ceramic export history. A heavy, visually impactful piece, it is perfect for display on mantelpieces, bookshelves, or as a standalone centerpiece.
